Ecosystem Relationships
Summary of Ecology Videos
Ecosystem-
In ecology, all the abiotic and biotic factors in an community/habitat work together to create an ecosystem. Every animal has a niche, or job, it does to ensure the population doesn't change drastically.

Changes in Ecosystems-
Ecosystems are constantly changing. When conservation doesn't occur and an ecosystem is destroyed, succession occurs.

Food Chains and Food Webs-
A food chain is the feeding relationships from one organism to another in an ecosystem. A food chain has different levels: producers, herbivores, carnivores, decomposers. A consumers is a plant or animal that gets from other living things. A food web is a combination of two or more food chains.

Symbiosis-
Symbiosis is the relationship between two organisms in a community. There are three types of symbiosis: parasitism, mutualism, and Commensalism. Parasitism involve normally involves parasites, an animal or plant that gets its food by living on or inside another animal or plant, called a host.

Biomes-
A biome is a major ecosystem made up of many habitats. There are six different biomes found on planet earth. The main difference between biomes is their climates. They also have unique animals with unique niches.

Population Growth-
Limiting Factors help control the growth of the population. Many Species are considered endangered species. They are considered endangered because they are close to becoming extinct species. Threatened species are species that are in danger of becoming endangered.
