DCP3 Review
1. The grasshopper's green coloring helps it blend in with grass and leaves. With this adaptation, the grasshopper is better protected from predators.
2. Global Warming, which is believed by many to be caused by mostly humans, has caused changes in populations of organisms such as the Marmots, whom end their hibernations about three weeks earlier now compared to 30 years ago, and the Polar bears, who today are thinner and less healthy than those of 20 years ago.
3.Humans have overused natural resources causing many organism to go extinct from no food or no shelter.
4.The whole food web would be affected, though by how much depends.
5.Many organisms have died from starvation or moved to a new ecosystem causing a lower amount of fish there.
6.Bacteria's role in the ecosystem is to decompose all the dead organisms;they get their nutrients from dead organisms during the decomposition.
7.The phytoplankton are producers and the zooplankton are consumers. Because the zooplankton eat the phytoplankton, they have a producer-consumer relationship.

8.The mosquito is the parasite because it feeds on humans, making humans the host.
9.The Wild cat and Rabbit are both consumers. Because the Wild cat eats the Rabbit, the Wild cat is the predator, and the Rabbit is the prey. The special relationship they have is called a predator-prey relationship.
10.24 atoms.
11. You count the number of valence elections. Elements in the same group have the same number of valence electrons.
12.The number and chemical symbols of the atoms in the substance.
13.Precipitaton, endothermic or exothermic, color change, smell, bubbles, oxidation, and combustion are all evidences of a chemical change.
14. No, 1 oxygen atom disappeared.
15.The less valence electrons an element has to lose or gain, the more reactive and element is. the atoms gets more "excited" the closer it is to its goal.
16. An example of a physical change in the digestive system would be your teeth grinding your food into smaller pieces. an example of a chemical change would be when your stomach digests your food.
